Accenture acquires Danish AI consulting company Halfspace

Accenture has acquired Halfspace, a Danish technology consulting company that helps organizations leverage and scale AI to enhance their decision-making and streamline their operations.
Founded in 2015, Halfspace develops advanced data and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions that helps its clients transform data into actionable insights and automate business workflows. Since its inception, Halfspace has delivered more than 100 data and AI projects to large Nordic organizations.
The deal will add close to 80 data and AI practitioners to Accenture’s Nordic business – they have nowledge in areas such as physics, engineering, mathematics, statistics, operations research, computer science, chemistry, economics, biology, and design to Accenture. Halfspace also brings strong ecosystem relationships with leading AI platform companies including Databricks, Microsoft and NVIDIA.
“As one of the largest pure-play AI companies in Northern Europe, Halfspace expands and complements our AI capabilities and talent and enhances our ability to help our clients benefit fully from the potential of AI,” said Carsten Sachmann, Accenture’s lead for the Nordic region.
“With the addition of Halfspace, we are expanding the footprint of our Center for Advanced AI in Europe, strengthening our ability to deliver impactful AI solutions to our clients in the region, helping them drive new levels of value and growth,” added Matt Prebble, Data & AI lead for EMEA at Accenture.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The deal is Accenture’s second in Europe this year, following the February purchase of Staufen, a 200-person operations and supply chain consultancy firm.
