Sia doubles Dutch presence with acquisition of Precedence
Global consulting firm Sia has acquired Precedence, doubling its headcount in the Netherlands and adding new offices in Maastricht and Utrecht.
Founded over 15 years ago, Precedence is a management consultancy specialized in four areas: process consulting, data & AI, change management, and technology. The firm has around 50 consultants, and works for both local and international clients, with a focus on the telecom, technology, life sciences, and automotive sectors.
With the acquisition, Sia will grow its Dutch team to 100 consultants. “This move will significantly strengthen our presence in the Dutch market. By integrating Precedence, we will build deeper board-level intimacy with our clients, helping them tackle complex transformations with even greater agility and trust,” said Jean Trzcinski, Managing Partner for the Benelux region.
“The Netherlands has long been a strategic hub for innovation and international business, and we are excited to expand our local footprint to better serve our clients and attract top talent.”
Sia founded its Dutch practice in 2009, at that time one of the firm’s first international offices outside of France. Today, Sia has over 3,000 consultants and staff in 20 countries.
“This acquisition is part of the acceleration of our external growth strategy, in line with the support provided by Blackstone in recent months,” says Matthieu Courtecuisse, CEO of Sia. “We aim to establish Sia as a leading player in consulting and data & AI, and we found in the Precedence teams that same conviction: that innovation is a powerful driver of meaningful change.”
In the coming months, Sia and Precedence will work together on the integration of the two businesses, with the Precedence brand to be phased out after the summer.
