Horn & Company boosts banking practice with addition of Investors Marketing
Horn & Company, a German management consulting firm, has acquired Investors Marketing, a banking-focused counterpart that will continue to operate under its own brand.
With around 250 consultants working from offices in Germany (headquarters in Düsseldorf), Austria, Switzerland, Singapore and the US, Horn & Company is one of Germany’s larger homegrown consulting firms. The company works for clients ina number of sectors: banking, insurance, industrial goods, retail, manufacturing, and automotive.
With the addition of Investors Marketing, Horn & Company grows its revenue base to almost €95 million and significantly boosts its Financial Services division. Investors Marketing specialises in helping banks, savings banks, funding groups and building societies with improving their customer excellence, across areas such as growth, revenue, pricing, omnichannel and digitization.
Since its inception in 1999, Investors Marketing has completed more than 1,500 projects in the sector, and grown its team to around 40 consultants and staff.
“We are delighted to welcome Investors Marketing to Horn & Company, further expanding our already strong position in the banking sector. This joining of forces increases the attractiveness of our advisory services for our clients, strengthens our knowhow, and provides the foundation for gaining further market share,” said Alexander Bethke-Jaenicke, Managing Partner of Horn & Company.
The deal is its third for Horn & Company, following the bolt-ons of Swiss financial services consultancy GEM and operations consultancy ConMoto. Both deals were closed in 2023, two years after Horn & Company landed private equity-backing from Dutch investor Waterland (which also holds a stake in Valcon).
Investors Marketing will continue to operate under its own brand as part of the Horn & Company group. The management, partners, and team, as well as the Frankfurt office, will also remain unchanged.
Oliver Mihm, the CEO of Investors Marketing, stated: “Over more than 25 years, Investors Marketing has become a major player in the financial industry consulting market. The merger with Horn & Company will enable us to assert our client-centric consulting approach with significantly greater emphasis in the market. Furthermore, this move will help us with areas such as recruitment and digitalization.”
