French railway specialist Adventec Consulting acquired by TMC

Adventec Consulting, a French railway sector specialist based in Lille, has been acquired by hightech consultancy firm TMC.

Founded in 2021, Adventec Consulting provides engineering and technical support to railway operators through on-site missions. The company also offers advisory and training services to help clients improve operational resilience and technical capabilities.

Having worked together on several projects in France and internationally over the past years, TMC and Adventec Consulting are taking their collaboration to the next level. Announced this morning, Adventec Consulting has been fully acquired by the Netherlands-headquartered company, which has almost 3,000 employees across 17 countries.

“Adventec Consulting brings practical expertise in critical infrastructure and a proven track record with major players,” says Emmanuel Mottrie, CEO of TMC. “Welcoming Adventec Consulting to TMC is a meaningful step towards building a stronger, more diversified engineering group that combines strategic advisory, deep hightech knowledge, and on-the-ground execution.”

The bolt-on deepens TMC’s service offering in the railway sector and expands its presence in the French market.

Meanwhile, for Adventec Consulting, the joining of forces with the global player “gives us the global platform, engineering specialisms, and capital support we need to grow further,” said company founders Frederic Bouquerel and Yann Bridoux. “We’ll continue to serve our existing clients with the same dedication, while expanding our services and reach.”

Acquisitions are an important part of the growth agenda of TMC. Previous purchases include Guldberg, Personites and Open Pixel Systems in 2024, and Mobilee in 2023.
