Bain & Company appoints five new partners in Germany and Switzerland
Global strategy consulting firm Bain & Company has strengthened its leadership team in Germany and Switzerland with five new partners.
Fabian Bosch, Jens Oesterle, Ferdinand Piotrowski and Lilli Probst have been appointed as partners, while Christoph Schmell has been named an expert partner.

Fabian Bosch is a partner in the Zurich office and a member of the Telecommunications, Media, and Technology practice. Since joining Bain in 2017, he has specialized in the transformation of international technology companies, with a focus on fundraising and investor processes, organizational development, talent strategies, commercial excellence, and zero-based budgeting.
Bosch has worked with software, data center, AI, and semiconductor companies in the US and the EMEA region.
Jens Oesterle is a partner in the Frankfurt office and a member of the Financial Services, Private Equity, Corporate Finance, and Mergers & Acquisitions practices. He has extensive industry and consulting experience with particular expertise in capital markets, growth and buyout financing, corporate and investment banking, and wealth and asset management.
Oesterle advises financial investors and corporate clients primarily on large transactions, portfolio optimization, strategic capital allocation, and value creation strategies. Before joining Bain & Company in 2016, he held various positions at investment banks in London and Frankfurt.
Ferdinand Piotrowski is a partner in the Frankfurt office and a member of the Industrial Goods and Services and Private Equity practices. He advises clients on growth strategies, commercial excellence programs, and performance improvement.
Since joining Bain & Company in 2020, Piotrowski has also advised financial investors and their portfolio companies on due diligence processes and the development and implementation of value creation programs.
Lilli Probst is a partner in the Frankfurt office and a member of the Financial Services, Healthcare, and AI, Insights & Solutions practices. She is an expert in the insurance and healthcare sectors, focusing on large-scale transformation, strategy and cost management programs, (generative) AI and digitalization, as well as customer loyalty.
Probst joined the global consulting firm in 2014 and has worked for clients across the EMEA region.
Christoph Schmell is an expert partner in the Frankfurt office. He is a member of the AI, Insights & Solutions, and Telecommunications, Media & Technology practices. He has led projects in a wide range of industries – including telecommunications, technology, and the public sector – with a focus on strategy and transformation programs in the areas of digitalization and (generative) AI.
Schmell’s experience includes developing AI strategies, digitalizing customer experiences and internal processes, and implementing AI-powered software solutions. He has been with Bain & Company for a decade.
