Dutch and Belgian businesses of Baker Tilly come together under one roof
The Dutch and Belgian businesses of Baker Tilly have agreed to merge and form a single organisation. The combined firm will employ more than 1,300 people and generate revenues in excess of €200 million.
Inflexion, the current minority shareholder of Baker Tilly in the Netherlands, will take a minority stake in the new entity. Shareholders from both the Dutch and Belgian firms will contribute their holdings to a new holding company, through which they will jointly retain a majority interest.
According to the CEOs of both businesses, Ronald Hoeksel (Netherlands) and Olivier Willems (Belgium), the merger is designed to strengthen service delivery, enhance support for cross-border clients, and unlock efficiencies in key areas such as quality, innovation, operations and talent management.
Despite the integration, both companies will continue to operate with national autonomy, preserving local entrepreneurship as well as their distinct identities and cultures.
Hoeksel commented: “As members of Baker Tilly International, we already know each other well, which meant we were able to align quickly. This move allows us to combine strong national growth with international collaboration.”
Willems added: “We share the same values, face similar challenges and have aligned ambitions. That makes this a natural and logical step.”
The Dutch firm is the larger of the two, employing around 1,000 people across 13 offices and generating revenues of €149 million. In Belgium, Baker Tilly has approximately 300 employees working from eight offices, with annual revenues of around €50 million.
Francesca Lagerberg, CEO of Baker Tilly International, welcomed the joining of forces: “Bringing our Dutch and Belgian firms together under a single structure reinforces our commitment to delivering exceptional client service. It also enables joint investment in innovative solutions that create greater value for clients operating across borders.”
The transaction is expected to close in March 2026. Financial terms have not been disclosed.
Globally, Baker Tilly has over 43,000 people working across 140 countries. The network is headquartered in the United Kingdom.
