Arthur D. Little and Baker Tilly advise on industrial cleaning sector deal
WVT Group, a manufacturer of industrial cleaning products and solutions, has acquired Cygyc Biocon, a Spanish company specialising in enzymes and probiotic products. The transaction was supported by Arthur D. Little and Baker Tilly.
Established in 1970 and headquartered in Barcelona, Cygyc Biocon specialises in chemical, enzymatic, biotechnological, and probiotic solutions for sectors such as human and animal nutrition, professional detergency, hygiene, agriculture, and other industrial applications.
The Spanish company operates through four complementary brands: Biocon, Biokatal, OXA, and Questcatio. Together, these brands supply products to industrial clients in more than 35 countries.
The acquiring company, WVT Group, is a European group headquartered in Belgium, specialising in the development and commercialisation of high value-added solutions for the industrial, maritime, food, professional, agricultural, and healthcare sectors. Its companies focus on maritime cleaning, industrial cleaning, professional hygiene, disinfection, and biosecurity.
Following the transaction, WVT Group will employ more than 250 people and have a presence in over 70 countries, further consolidating its position as a leading European platform for industrial cleaning products and solutions.

Dealmakers
On the buy side, Arthur D. Little supported WVT Group and its shareholders (Siparex and Sofindev Private Equity Partners) with commercial due diligence. “We are proud to have supported WVT Group on this important milestone in its growth journey,” said Jig Sevinga, Partner at Arthur D. Little.
Meanwhile, the seller, Cygyc Biocon, received M&A advisory support from Baker Tilly, which assisted its shareholders throughout the entire process, from deal preparation to negotiations and closing. The Baker Tilly team was led by Toni Carné, Lluís Lluch, and José Luis Martín.
In 2025, WVT Group acquired Roam Technology and welcomed Siparex Group as its new majority shareholder. The other investor backing the business, Sofindev, has been on board since 2019.
