Implement Consulting Group enters into partnership with Oxford Global Projects

Danish-origin consultancy firm Implement Consulting Group has entered into a global partnership with Oxford Global Projects, aimed at strengthening how organisations design, govern, and deliver large-scale transformations and projects.

The collaboration brings together Implement Consulting Group’s expertise in organisational transformation and project execution with the extensive data and insights of Oxford Global Projects. The partnership is designed to help Implement Consulting Group’s teams deliver client projects more successfully by incorporating data-driven insights, proven learnings, and best practices.

Founded in 1996, Implement Consulting Group is one of the leading management consulting firms in the Nordics. The firm, which also has offices in Germany, Switzerland and the United States, works across a broad range of areas including strategy, operations, commercial excellence, finance, sustainability, and the delivery of large-scale transformations.

Oxford Global Projects, founded by Bent Flyvbjerg (author of ‘How Big Things Get Done’) and Alexander Budzier, is recognised for its research on megaproject performance. The company has an extensive global dataset covering more than 22,000 projects and over 500,000 data points, providing a strong empirical foundation for improving decision-making in complex programmes.

Together, the two consultancies aim to bridge a persistent challenge in large-scale projects: the gap between strategic intent and successful execution. While organisations continue to invest heavily in transformation initiatives, research consistently shows that a significant share of large projects fail to deliver their intended outcomes.

“By combining the evidence-based project intelligence of Oxford Global Projects with Implement’s human-centred approach to transformation, this partnership is designed to help organisations improve the accuracy of project planning and forecasting, reduce execution risk, strengthen governance and decision-making frameworks, and ultimately increase the likelihood of delivering intended outcomes,” the companies said in a joint statement.

The partnership will be rolled out across Implement Consulting Group’s offices in Europe and North America. The firm employs more than 1,800 consultants and staff.
