AllChiefs partners with Pathfinder to accelerate AI-driven decarbonisation in road logistics
AllChiefs, a Dutch management consulting firm, has entered into a strategic partnership with Pathfinder, an AI-powered logistics platform for road transport operators.
Developed by LOTS Group, Pathfinder supports transport operators worldwide in accelerating their decarbonisation journeys. The platform helps organisations identify, prioritise, and implement emissions reduction initiatives, while enabling the transition towards electrified road transport.
Using advanced analytics and artificial intelligence (AI), Pathfinder allows users to assess transport operations, model different decarbonisation scenarios, and generate data-driven recommendations on how to move forward. Well-known users of Pathfinder include Scania, Rigterink Logistikgruppe, and, unsurprisingly, Sweden-headquartered LOTS Group itself.
“With Pathfinder, we are empowering organisations to turn sustainability ambitions into measurable results through intelligent, data-driven decision-making,” said Pim Roest, Co-Owner and Co-Lead of the Sustainable Logistics practice at AllChiefs.
Through the partnership, AllChiefs will add Pathfinder to its portfolio of decarbonisation offerings for the transport and logistics sector. “By combining our expertise with Pathfinder’s advanced AI capabilities, this partnership will enable our clients to optimise logistics networks, reduce emissions, and accelerate progress towards net zero supply chains,” Roest added.
He noted that the collaboration comes at a defining moment for the sector. As decarbonisation rises up the agenda, the electrification of road transport is shifting from experimentation to early large-scale implementation. However, progress is not without challenges,, with recent research co-authored by AllChiefs highlighting that transport operators continue to face significant barriers along the way.
One key challenge lies in the complexity of defining effective electrification strategies. “Many new factors need to be considered to ensure customer service requirements are met at cost parity with diesel. There are also significant differences across regions, countries, and transport routes – such as the availability and cost of charging – that must be taken into account,” explained Roest.
This is where Pathfinder’s capabilities become particularly relevant. “We are excited to be able to unlock the value of artificial intelligence to help scale electrification of road transport across the logistics value chain, delivering real business and sustainability impact,” he noted.
Viktoria Kindesjö, Sustainability Manager at Pathfinder, commented: “This partnership represents an important step in making decarbonisation more accessible and actionable for the road transport industry. By combining AI and digital capabilities with AllChiefs’ sustainable logistics expertise, we can help customers identify practical pathways to reduce emissions and create long-term business value.”
