EY appoints Stephan Taborsky as Head of Technology Consulting in Austria
Global professional services firm EY has appointed Stephan Taborsky as Head of Technology Consulting in Austria.
Now in his eighth year at EY, Taborsky is a partner and leader in the firm’s Consulting business. In his new role, he will oversee the strategic development and growth of the Technology Consulting practice, which helps clients use technology, data and AI to transform their businesses, improve performance and manage risk.
The practice’s portfolio spans technology strategy, cloud and IT transformation, systems implementation, data and analytics, digital engineering and cybersecurity. “I am delighted to take on this role and look forward to further strengthening EY’s position in the technology consulting landscape,” said Taborsky.
Before joining EY in 2019, Taborsky spent close to a decade at Raiffeisen Bank, where he held several line management roles and led a number of major change programmes. Prior to that, he spent four years at Accenture.
In his client work at EY, Taborsky advises organisations on complex business and technology transformations. His areas of expertise include IT and digitalisation strategies, artificial intelligence, cyber resilience, and the modernisation of business models and technology landscapes.
“My goal is to support organisations in using these opportunities responsibly and employing technology as a sustainable driver of growth, innovation and change,” said Taborsky.
Taborsky also emphasises the importance of people in transformation programmes. “Successful transformation doesn’t begin with the technology, but with the people who shape it. In my career so far, I have accompanied numerous complex transformation programmes and learned that trust, transparency and consistent communication are often more important than the technical challenges themselves.”
Stephan Taborsky studied computer science at Vienna University of Technology and business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
