Kearney welcomes Christoph Brakemeier and Daniel Leonhardt to German partnership

Kearney has strengthened its senior team in Germany with the appointment of two new partners: Christoph Brakemeier and Daniel Leonhardt. Both are based in Munich.

Christoph Brakemeier advises manufacturers and retailers on the development and implementation of growth and transformation strategies. A member of the Industrials practice, his areas of focus include B2B sales, top-line growth and business model transformation.

He primarily works with companies in the heavy equipment and commercial vehicle sectors, covering the value chain from OEMs to dealer organisations. His work includes the development of sales and aftermarket strategies, the optimisation of distribution and business models, and the implementation of initiatives aimed at improving profitability, competitiveness and customer retention.

Daniel Leonhardt is a member of the Energy & Process Industries practice. He advises clients on large-scale transformation and value creation programmes, covering areas such as production network and site optimisation, operating model and organisational redesign, and cost and performance improvement.

Over the course of his career, he has developed a particular focus on the strategic restructuring of value chains in the chemical industry. His experience includes portfolio changes, carve-outs, partnerships, post-merger integration and ownership model decisions. He works with clients to translate complex industrial and transactional situations into transformation programmes spanning locations, functions and production networks.

Commenting on the appointments, Marc Lakner, Managing Director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland at Kearney, said: “Our clients are currently making decisions with long-term consequences: about locations, portfolios and how they serve their markets. This requires consultants who are equally adept at strategic analysis and implementation. Christoph and Daniel embody this standard.”
