Former management consultant Thomas Kirsebom joins Pedersen & Partners

Thomas Kirsebom, a former management consultant at several leading consultancy firms, has joined the newly launched office of Pedersen & Partners in Norway. Kirsebom joined a duo of experienced headhunters from Flensby & Partners in the switch to the larger rival network of Pedersen & Partners.

With offices in 50+ countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Americas, Pedersen & Partners is one of the globe’s larger executive search and human capital consultancies. The firm’s latest expansion saw it poach an experienced team from local Nordic rival Flensby & Partners to kick-start its operations in Norway.

Leading Pedersen & Partners’ new Oslo office is Norway Country Manager Fredrik Torp, who boasts a track record in executive search of some 30 years across a wide range of industries. He previously worked for headhunters Boyden and Neo Group, held management positions in industry (hotel sector) and even had a short spell in consulting – an 8-month stint as Chairman of the Board at Horwath HTL, a consulting firm that focuses exclusively on the hotel, tourism and leisure sectors. 

Joining Torp in the move were Thomas Kirsebom and Marit Kamark. Kirsebom spent most of his career in management consulting, working for consulting firms Roland Berger, Capgemini Consulting (nowadays Capgemini Invent) and PA Consulting Group. At Capgemini, he was a Vice President and head of the Munich Office, as well as head of the Transportation practice for Central Europe. During his eight year spell at PA Consulting Group, Kirsebom was a member of the firm’s management team in the Nordics, and led the People, Organisation & Change and Aviation & Transport practices in Scandinavia. Prior to joining Flensby & Partners in Oslo, he helped Swedish company Navigio establish an executive search subsidiary in Norway.

Kamark is a senior search professional with a decade of experience in talent acquisition and assessment of senior executives, having served Korn Ferry prior to her latest employment at Flensby & Partners. She specialises in international searches, succession planning processes, management assessment processes and Board reviews. 

Commenting on the expansion into Norway, Poul Pedersen, Founder and Managing Partner of the global executive search firm, said, “Launching with an experienced team that is used to working together has got us off to a great start in Norway.” 

According to data from Consulting Norge, Norway’s consulting industry association, the Norwegian management consulting will this year cross the €1 billion mark. The public sector and financial services players such as banks and insurers are the largest spenders on consultants.
