Eden McCallum adds former BCG and Booz consultants to team

Eden McCallum has added two experienced management consultants with backgrounds at BCG and Strategy& to its team in the Benelux and the United Kingdom

Joris van Osselaer spent over a decade at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), ascending the ranks from Associate to Principal. At the US-origin strategy consulting firm, Van Osselaer worked mainly for clients in the financial services industry, including banks, insurers and pension funds, specialising in topics such as growth, organisation, post-merger integration and digital. The past four years he worked as an independent consultant, combining this with a position on Amsterdam’s City Council, focused on urban development and city planning. 

Having worked with Eden McCallum as part of the firm’s talent pool, Van Osselaer has now decided to join the firm’s in-house team. “As a consultant I saw first-hand what’s special about Eden McCallum,” he said, adding that he is excited to be part of a company that delivers an “innovative, sharply-focused proposition” to clients.

Van Osselaer’s joins Eden McCallum’s growing team in Amsterdam, led by co-founders Heleen Wachters and Marjon Wanders, as well as other leaders Anna Wanders and Cyrus Ditzel.

Meanwhile, in Eden McCallum’s home base, the UK – the consultancy was founded in 2000 in London by former McKinsey & Company advisors Dena McCallum and Liann Eden – Jack Woodhouse has been welcomed into the team. After an early career as a naval architect, Woodhouse began consulting with Booz & Company in 2007 (today known as Strategy&), where he spent four years. At the firm, he worked with energy, chemicals and utilities clients across Europe and the Middle East, on strategy, operations, and organisation. In the past five years he has led a boutique management consulting firm which he co-founded with Greg Borel, whom he had met at Booz.

At Eden McCallum, Van Osselaer focuses on a range of clients including financial services and public sector organisations, while Woodhouse has a focus on players in the industrials, media and food sectors. “Both Jack and Joris join us with terrific expertise in some of our largest sectors and also direct experience as successful independents. We’re thrilled to have them on the team as we continue to drive growth on both fronts,” commented Dena McCallum.
