Peter Odenwälder joins Cylad Consulting from McKinsey

French-origin consulting firm Cylad Consulting has appointed a new partner in Germany: Peter Odenwälder.

The 38-year-old brings over a decade of experience to the management consulting firm, having previously served McKinsey & Company in Hamburg for eight years and Max Planck Institute for three years, where he obtained his PhD degree.

At McKinsey, Odenwälder was latterly an Associate Partner, working in the firm’s Manufacturing practice. He specialises in strategy & operations, process engineering, research & development, and procurement, with a focus on clients in the chemical and machinery industries.Peter Odenwälder joins Cylad Consulting from McKinseyCommenting on his move to the privately-held Cylad Consulting, he wrote on LinkedIn, “I look forward to working with the team in Germany and beyond.”

Thomas Trautmann, who founded Cylad Consulting’s Hamburg office six years ago, after previously also working for McKinsey (ten years), is delighted with the addition of the senior advisor. “Over the past years we have built a strong and experienced team in Hamburg focusing on technology-intensive industries. Peter Odenwälder perfectly shares this DNA and is a strong reinforcement of the team.”

Steffen Petersen, a partner at the consulting firm who previously six years at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), added; “We are excited to have Peter on board. He further enriches our expertise and will bolster the work we conduct for our clients.”

Meanwhile, Sebastien Chaussoy, a Paris-based partner who has been with the consultancy for twelve years, also expressed his delight; “Very happy and excited you are joining.”

Alongside Hamburg, Cylad Consulting has one more office in the German-speaking DACH region – in Baar-Zug, Switzerland. The firm’s other offices are based in Paris and Toulouse in France, Melbourne in Australia, and Montreal in Canada (established two months ago). Across its footprint, the consultancy has 100 consultants and staff, including 12 partners.
