Bruno Tourme joins Drake Star Partners in Paris office
US-headquartered corporate finance consultancy Drake Star Partners has added Bruno Tourme to its team of advisors in Europe.
A seasoned executive and corporate finance and consultant, Tourme brings over two decades of experience to the firm. He joins from Spain-based Eurohold, where he latterly was Managing Partner and Head of Technology. Previously, he worked eight years for American Growth Capital as Head of its European operation, and was a Managing Partner at London-based investment bank Bryan, Garnier & Co.
Earlier in his carere, Tourme was founder and chief executive officer of Giga Group, a technology research company that he launched in 2000. The business was sold to the research wing of Forrester in 2004.
At Drake Star Partners, Tourme has been tasked with co-leading and growing the firm’s Paris office – one of its nine offices globally – and expanding the firm’s enterprise software expertise in Europe. He specialises in advising software, digital media and information security businesses in Europe and the Middle East on their corporate development including financing, exit strategy, acquisitions and joint ventures.
Commenting on the addition, Marc Deschamps, Executive Chairman and Managing Partner at Drake Star Partners said: “Bruno is a hugely successful digital media & software investment banker. With a strong reputation spanning across Europe, he will help us accelerate our presence in Paris and amplify our firm’s footprint in core sectors of enterprise software including vertical and horizontal software.”
The move comes at a time of booming demand – factoring in a slump due to Covid-19 – for deals in the enterprise software and digital commerce segments.
Tourme on the potential he sees, “Software has always been a huge market in Europe with proliferation of vertical, horizontal and local champions and we clearly see it as a major opportunity.”
Drake Star Partners is a corporate finance consulting and investment banking firm dedicated to the technology, media and communications (TMT) sectors. Earlier this year, the firm signed a deal with TC Capital to expand its reach in Asia.
