Guidehouse promotes Jan-Willem Bode to partner
Guidehouse has promoted Jan-Willem Bode to partner in its Energy practice. Bode is based in London.
The Dutchman joined Guidehouse in December 2017, then becoming part of Navigant, which was acquired by private-equity backed Guidehouse for $1.1 billion in October last year. Some two years down the line, Bode has now been admitted into the firm’s partner ranks, as part of a broader intake of eight partners.
Bode has more than two decades of experience working on climate finance, corporate sustainability, project development and project finance. Before joining Guidehouse, he worked for Netherlands-headquartered sustainability consultancy Ecofys (which became part of Navigant in November 2016), latterly serving as Head of the Spanish country team.
The newly appointed partner also served as CEO of OneCarbon, a company that finances projects that reduce emissions of greenhouse gases, and as co-founder and CEO of Mongoose Energy, a community energy company in the United Kingdom that developed, acquired, and financed more than £100 million of community-owned renewable assets. Bode in addition worked as an investment banker with SocGen.
Within Guidehouse, he works with corporations on their energy transition and related change management processes, and with financial institutions on climate risk assessment of investment portfolios, as well as business models related to / impacted by climate change. Additionally, Bode provides a range of advisory services in the area of energy, climate finance and sustainability.
Guidehouse has over 7,000 consultants and staff globally in around 50 offices.
