NMS Consulting launches offices in Berlin and Frankfurt
US consultancy NMS Consulting has made a foray into the German market with the launch of two offices.
While Germany continues to grapple with the coronavirus pandemic, injecting economic uncertainty into businesses and consumer plans, NMS Consulting is pursuing a growth strategy in Europe. Building a position in Germany – with a value of around €36 billion Europe’s second largest consulting industry – alongside a presence in the UK is at the very heart of this plan.
“As the world continues to navigate these uncertain and turbulent times, we feel it’s important to maintain our vision of long-term goals both as a globally focused organisation, but also understanding that the client’s needs still exist,” explained Trevor Saliba, Managing Partner of NMS Consulting.
The decision to enter Germany was a logical one he said, given the country’s major economic importance in the region. “Germany accounts for about one-third of the Euro area economy, and its bilateral goods trade with the US and Europe in 2019 totaled roughly $2 trillion,” he said.
NMS Consulting is a management consulting headquartered in Beverly Hills, California. The company was founded by former investment banker Saliba [who led a major exit in 2017], and under his leadership the consulting firm has rapidly expanded to six offices in the US and two in the Middle East and Asia. NMS works for both corporates and small- and mid-sized enterprises, as well as family offices and private equity.
The recent acquisition of Moore Fleming in the UK kicked off its European expansion, now followed with by the launch of two offices in Germany. “We want our existing and new clients in the Berlin and Frankfurt region to feel that they can lean on us to provide solutions for the hurdles they face. Specifically, we are building a strong team with vast experience in turnaround strategy, transformation, and restructuring,” said Saliba.
Both hubs are led by Harry Moore, NMS Consulting’s Head of Europe, and a number of consultants have already been recruited. This includes Bill Bentaieb, who has 20 years of experience in management and operations consulting under his belt. He most recently worked as an independent consultant, and previously served the large consulting firms of Deloitte, The Hackett Group, McKinsey & Company and Accenture. Meanwhile, Marketing Sophia Binder has been hired as an Associate in the Berlin office.
