What are the top consulting firms in Germany? According to a new survey held among over 2,400 executives and decision-makers in the country, a group of 60 consulting firms lead the way in the highly competitive industry.
With a market value of over €30 billion, Germany is Europe’s largest consulting industry and home to hundreds of consultancies that serve their clients in any conceivable sector and area of expertise. But, only a small group of consulting firms can crown themselves as the best in industry, and according to buyers of consultancy services surveyed by ServiceValue and Die Welt, this group of top performers comes down to a list of sixty players.
The researchers asked business leaders to rate the quality provided by consulting firms on a 5-point scale based on their experiences working with them, spanning the quality of work, the output and return on investment delivered, approach & methodologies used, and the way how the consulting firm and their consultants collaborated with the client organisation.

Consulting rankings in Germany
The ranking of top consultancies by ServiceValue and Die Welt is one of many benchmarks published yearly on how German consulting firms compare. It is important to keep in mind how rankings are designed (i.e. which firms are shortlisted), which client groups are surveyed and if they are fully independent or commercially run. For example, some rankings can exclude consulting firms from their results, despite them having a leading position in their field.
