Ennio Senese leads niche consultancy UMS Group in Europe
International consulting firm UMS Group has appointed a new Managing Director for its European footprint.
UMS Group is a business consultancy specialised in the energy and utility sectors, providing a suite of services including strategy, consulting, operations, data services, and learning consortia. The firm has five offices globally; in the Americas, Europe and Oceania, and is led by US-based chief executive officer Jack Shearman.
Now appointed to head the offices in the Benelux, DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and the Nordics (the four Scandinavian countries) is Ennio Neumann Senese, who brings over 30 years of experience in consulting and client-side roles to the firm. In consulting, Senese spent fifteen years at a boutique consultancy focused on energy and resources, five years at industry giant Accenture where he was a partner in the firm’s Energy practice, and seven years at Proudfoot.
In industry, Senese among others held executive positions at oil goliath Shell, RFI Group, and Harvey Milton, and held an executive advisory role at supply chain company GEP Worldwide. Over the course of his career, he has gained extensive expertise in strategy, procurement, mergers & acquisitions, performance improvement and supply chain management.
“Ennio brings incredible energy and leadership vision to his new role as Managing Director of UMS Group in Europe. His long track record of running major improvement projects in challenging environments, ideally positions him to help us in addressing the increasingly volatile and dynamic consultancy market worldwide,” said Shearman.
Commenting on his new challenge, Senese said, “It is wonderful to join one of the world’s most innovative niche consulting companies, driving creative new client solutions and setting the pace for the challenging decades to come.”
As part of his role, Senese joins the Global Board of UMS Group, which is chaired by Shearman, a former Booz Allen Hamilton consultant who founded the company in 1989.
