Strategy consulting firm Emerton opens office in Munich
International strategy consultancy Emerton has opened an office in Germany, its second in Europe and fourth globally.
The new location in Munich – Germany’s third-largest city and a key economic hotspot – will serve as Emerton’s base for clients in the country, as well as the German-speaking neighbour countries of Austria and Switzerland. “Over the years, we’ve added a number of high-profile clients in the DACH region. Establishing a local presence was a logical next step,” said Sebastien Plessis, a Managing Partner of Emerton.
“This enables us to increase our client proximity and engagement in Germany and the region,” added Plessis, with fellow Managing Partner Pascal Simon stating, “our clients in DACH can now directly benefit from our local presence and global reach combined with deep industry expertise and advisory excellence.”
Heading the new office is Steffen Krause, who brings over 15 years of management consulting experience in strategy and business transformation across a range of industries to the firm.
Krause previously spent fourteen years at goetzpartners, latterly as a partner and co-Head of its Strategy and Healthcare practices. His focus is on clients in the healthcare, pharma and life sciences, technology and utilities sectors.
“I am looking forward to working with our clients on their most important strategic issues – with the focus on jointly creating sustainable value,” said Krause on his new challenge.
Other strategy consulting firms with an office in Munich include the MBB-trio of McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group and Bain & Company, as well as Roland Berger, goetzpartners, Oliver Wyman and OC&C Strategy Consultants.
Emerton’s other offices are based in France (Paris), Japan (Tokyo) and the US (New York).
