Garrett Whitmore and Jochen Vogel join goetzpartners as partner

International management consulting firm goetzpartners has welcomed two partners to its German team: Garrett Whitmore and Jochen Vogel. 

Garrett Whitmore has been named a Partner and Head of goetzpartners’ Digital practice. He will leverage his more than years of industry and consulting experience throughout Europe and the United States to lead the firm’s suite of offerings in the space, spanning digital strategy development, end-to-end program management for digital transformation, and the adoption of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and the internet of things. 

Before joining goetzpartners, Whitmore was also an entrepreneur, co-founding a digital business and serving as a venture partner to bring innovative digital businesses (such as Clark, Zinsbaustein, Moonfare and Recyfy) to the market. Earlier in his career, he worked for strategy consulting firm Bain & Company for two years in the US, and as an independent consultant.

At goetzpartners, Whitmore will focus on topics including digital transformation, digital target operating model, core business improvement, innovation and building new digital-driven businesses. He is passionate about using analytics and digital technology to drive insights, connect with customers and lower costs.

Jochen Vogel has been appointed a Partner and Co-Head of its Restructuring & Turnaround of practice, based in Dusseldorf office. He brings over two decades of experience to the consulting firm, gained in consulting, the legal sector and industry. Vogel specialises in transformation, restructuring and transaction consulting, with a focus on insolvency and special situations. 

Over the past 23 years, he has successfully advised numerous clients from various industries, in particular from the media, entertainment, automotive, construction, consumer goods/retail and telecommunications sector, in national and international projects. He previously worked for EY as partner, and also for goetzpartners in his first spell at the firm. 

In addition to his work as a management consultant, Jochen Vogel has proven expertise as a business lawyer in the areas of commercial and corporate law as well as insolvency law, and as an interim manager.
