Global SAP consultancy itelligence has expanded into Finland with the acquisition of Pasafin, a local player specialised in the human capital domain.

Founded in 2005, Helsinki-based Pasafin specialises in SAP services and solutions, with a focus on general HRIS, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday and PeopleDoc cloud services. The company works for companies across sectors, and a number of Finnish multinationals that operate internationally.

The acquisition of Pasafin marks intelligence’s entry into the Finnish market, which it up to date has been serving through fly-in teams from its other Nordic offices, based in Stockholm and Malmö (Sweden), Aarhus, Copenhagen and Horsens (Denmark) and Olso and Porsgrunn (Norway).

“We will use Pasafin’s expertise to expand our position as the leading SAP partner throughout the Nordic region,” said Norbert Rotter, the CEO of intelligence. Morten Bjerregaard, Head of Human Capital Management at itelligence in Denmark, added “Pasafin and are a perfect match to itelligence's strategic approach to human capital and human resources transformation, and what our DNA is – to create value for our clients' HR organisations by deploying business-oriented solutions that are as global as possible and as local as necessary.”

Nicolaj Vang Jessen, an Executive Vice President at intelligence, said that the deal is part of the firm’s expansion strategy, highlighting the Nordics as an attractive market. A relatively mature technology and cloud market, “We are seeing a growing interest in cloud solutions from our Nordic clients. With Pasafin's experience in SuccessFactors, we expect a significant expansion in this line of business.”

Meanwhile, for Pasafin, the joining of forces adds depth and breadth to its portfolio of services, while offering its employees with expanded career opportunities – intelligence (a NTT Data subsidiary) has more than 10,000 SAP experts in over 25 countries.

“We are convinced that this will be a perfect match to our strategy of expanding our footprint and to continue having an excellent reputation of delivering services on time and on budget with high quality,” said Pasafin founder Anne Hiljanen.

As part of the integration, Pasafin will be integrated into itelligence’s Nordic HCM team headed by Morten Bjerregaard.
