Benelux consultancy Methis Consulting adds five consultants to its team
Benelux consultancy firm Methis Consulting has in in the first two months of the year added five new consultants to its team. Delia Mensitieri and Laura Bortels start as Consultants, while Caroline Blondiau, Vincent Oud and Karen Claes have been appointed as Junior Consultant. The expansion sees Methis Consulting grow its base to around forty advisors and staff.
Delia Mensitieri joined Methis Consulting as a Consultant, a niche business consulting firm with offices in Antwerp and Breda focused on the energy market and the public transport sector. In her new role, Mensitieri currently serves ATRIAS, a joint initiative of the five largest energy distribution operators in Belgium (Eandis, Infrax, ORES, Sibelga and RESA), as a Business Analyst in grid-fee en structuring. She previously worked in Amsterdam as a Media Intelligence Consultant at Meltwater, a specialist in media monitoring, and in Shanghai as a Digital Consultant for creative agency CREATEC Digital. Mensitieri, who has affinity with data analysis, strategy and project management, among other areas, gained a Masters in International Management & Strategy at Vlerick Business School and a Masters in Psychology at Ghent University.
Laura Bortels also joined Methis Consulting as a Consultant. Similar to Mensitieri, Bortels completed two masters, one in General Management at Vlerick Business School (2016) and one in Applied Economics at the University of Antwerp (in 2015). Over the past year and a half, she followed a management traineeship programme at airline Brussels Airlines, where she gained experience across a range of topics. Bortles for instance worked for the Cargo department, where she was responsible for the development of a centralised reporting tool and the implementation of performance dashboards as part of Brussels Airlines’ bid to streamline its air freight operations. Another project she was involved with was the digitsation of customer experience services, with a focus on touch points prior to and after flights. At Methis Consulting, Bortels now works as a Market Data Analyst at energy supplier Eneco.
Vincent Oud started as a Junior Consultant. Last year he obtained a Masters in Strategic Management from the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), Erasmus University. Oud also followed an Extended Masters programme at the IESEG School of Management, after having already completed a Masters in Business Economics at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. Oud meanwhile Vincent started as a Business Analyst focused on the roll-out of smart meters at a utilities company.
Karen Claes graduated from the Royal University of Leuven last year, with a Masters degree in International Business. For her thesis, she carried out an analysis on what the key international growth success factors are for multinationals from emerging economies. Claes, who prior to that studied Economics and Modern Languages at the Sint-Ursula Institute, has been appointed a Junior Consultant at Methis Consulting. She currently supports Engie with professionalising its front-ends (web, mobile site and apps) for B2B and B2C clients.
The fifth new recruit, Caroline Blondiau, also strengthens the team of the Benelux consultancy as a Junior Consultant. Blondiau holds a Masters in Business Engineering in Performance Management & Control from HEC Liège, the Management School of the University of Liège. For her graduation internship she worked at construction company BSP Construction, where she completed her thesis, which focused on developing a corporate strategy for growth. Blondiau currenrly is staffed at a utilities company.
This year Methis Consulting celebrates its tenth anniversary. To celebrate the milestone the company hit the slopes in Finland's Lapland with its entire team last month.
