Rakesh Pai joins Dutch financial services consultancy Varrlyn
Amsterdam-based consulting firm Varrlyn has added technology consultant Rakesh Pai to its ranks.
Rakesh Pai brings over ten years of experience in the financial services industry to the Netherlands based consultancy. Rakesh is a scrum master with a wealth of experience in business analysis, banking operations and technology consulting. He is specialised in improving wholesale banking platforms, serving several European and global banks, and has further gained extensive experience in Trade and Supply Chain Finance, Lending, Cash Management and Payments.
Among the engagements he has contributed to include large-scale process transformations, data migrations, implementation of platforms, including Misys, as well as a next generation trade finance portal, a lending application and a financial supply chain system. Rakesh, who in the past year worked for two IT consulting firms, started his career with Standard Chartered Bank, where he progressed to the role of Senior Officer.
Rakesh joined Varrlyn, a boutique Netherlands-based consultancy specialised in dealing room technology transformations, on the 1st of January. Appointed a Business Analyst, Rakesh immediately joined on the firm’s clients in the banking sector, supporting the implementation of Misys Trade Innovation (TI plus) and MTP. Leveraging his scrum master credentials, his responsibilities include preparing use cases specifications, delivering the requirements for end products and solutions, and down the line leading user acceptance testing with business stakeholders prior to a go-live of the new solution.
Commenting on the addition of Pai, Cherien van Ampt, Business Development lead at Varrlyn, said, “Rakesh is an expert in banking operations and translating business demands to technology and (infrastructure) requirements, enabling banks to digitise their way to a more efficient banking.”
In December last year Varrlyn also added Anand Vardhan to its team – who focuses on Murex implementations in the banking sector.
