Horwath HTL pushes into Germany, Austria and Switzerland
Horwath HTL, one of the world’s largest consultancy dedicated to the hotel, tourism and leisure sectors, has expanded into the German-speaking region of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
With over 50 offices in 38 countries globally, and the ambition to have a presence in all major economics hubs, moving into the DACH market was a matter of time for Horwath HTL. Following an alliance between Horwath HTL in Switzerland with local consultancies Nemis (Germany) and Reburg & Partners (Austria), the global advisory group has now delivered on its ambition.
“The DACH region is one of the most diverse and significant tourism regions in Europe. As a globally active brand, it is therefore important to have a presence in these three countries to be able to offer services and expertise to our local and global clients – this is exactly what the new alliance enables us to do,“ explained James Chappell, Global Business Director at Horwath HTL.
The region will be led by the trio of Christian Buer, Brigitte Gruber and Heinz Wehrle, who combined have more than 70 years of professional experience in international hospitality and over 250 delivered projects under their belt.
“The pandemic is having a strong impact on the hotel and hospitality market in the DACH region. With this alliance, we have the opportunity to capture such changing needs across the three countries, and develop solutions for the entire German-speaking region,” said Heinz Wehrle, who leads Horwath HTL in Switzerland.
In the initial stages, Horwath HTL will focus its services on hotel planning, destination development, asset management, valuation and deals, and tourism and leisure. The DACH unit aims to work for both large groups such as Hilton International, Steigenberger Hotel or Marriott, as well as family businesses and even start-ups.
