Eden McCallum welcomes four Analyst to Amsterdam team
Eden McCallum has welcomed four new Analysts to its team in Amsterdam. All four have meanwhile completed their three-week introductory training program and have commenced working on challenging client projects.
Carmen Catharina Huttinga graduated with a Master in Economics from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Having previously interned at Kearney and PwC, and worked for student-run management consultancy De Kleine Consultant, she was determined to make the consulting industry her next step.
After attending two of Eden McCallum’s recruitment events for students, she was convinced about her choice. “Eden McCallum stood out for me because of its innovative business model [the firm blends a traditional consulting approach with a flexible model of high calibre independents consultants] and the strong company values.”
“For example, we recently had really open discussions with Eden McCallum’s team on how to create an even more inclusive culture at the firm. You could feel our input was really valued by the partners and the female founders [Heleen Wachters and Marjon Wanders in the Netherlands].”
Edvard Svedhem joins with previous experience under his belt. After graduating from Delft University with a Master in Systems and Control, he kicked off his career at LC Engineers and Consultants (as a Junior Consultant) and Vopak (as a Project Buyer).
Having met Eden McCallum’s team and its work during last year’s ‘Crack-a-Case event’, when the opportunity came along this summer to apply for the Analyst program, Svedhem tried his luck. Fast forward a few months, and he has completed his three weeks of induction in London and is raring to “make an impact” at Eden McCallum’s clients and for the broader society.
Noah van Roekel arrived at Eden McCallum with a Master in Data Science and Marketing Analytics from the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Having considered a number of firms during his orientation process, he was drawn to Eden McCallum primarily for its unique culture. “During my interview rounds I found out how passionate Eden McCallum consultants are about the work they do and the development of themselves and their colleagues.”
Fresh out of the induction training experience, Van Roekel looks forward to what’s next in terms of professional development. “Eden McCallum offers an extensive multi-year training programme that consists out of classroom training, on the job-training and coaching sessions. Giving you the opportunity to become the best version of yourself.”
Stijn Wiegerinck holds a Master in Construction Management and Engineering from Delft University. Similar to Huttinga, he previously learned the tricks of consulting’s trade at a student consultancy (Young Advisory Group – a rival to De Kleine Consultant), where he contributed to a number of engagements to small and medium-sized enterprises and non-profits.
“Now at Eden McCallum, I can say that I have really benefited from the experiences gained at Young Advisory Group, as well as a number of business courses I’ve followed at other strategic consultancies.”
Reflecting on his takeaway from the induction program, Wiegerinck said, “It’s fun to see how different backgrounds, cultures and personalities match and deliver great results when put into a fun, social and content driven pressure cooker.”
