US consulting firm Credera enters Germany with partnership
Credera, a US-headquartered business and technology consulting firm, has entered the German market in a move that marks the firm’s entry into European mainland.
“The launch of Credera in Germany is an exciting step for us,” said Justin Bell, CEO of Credera. “We will now be able to serve global and local clients in Germany and the region with our successful working model, unlocking the next level of impact for those clients.”
Credera’s presence in Germany will function as a joint venture between Credera and Smart Digital, a German tech consulting company. The Berlin-based firm has a team of 100 staff, and is also part of Credera parent Omnicom Group.
“Germany is a critical market for Omnicom, and by combining the deep data science knowledge of Smart Digital together with Credera´s digital transformation and consulting expertise, we will be able to better serve our customers in the country,” said Luke Taylor, CEO of Omnicom Precision Marketing Group (Omnicom’s umbrella for its agencies and consultancies).
The new venture will be led and managed by Thomas Vogt, in a dual role as he will continue to lead Smart Digital as CEO, and Christian Weber, currently the COO of Smart Digital.
“The entrance of Credera into the German market is perfectly positioned to drive real customer value from strategy through to execution,” said Vogt.
Hot on the heels of its market entry, Credera has already set bold ambitions for its German adventure. In the next 2-3 years, the firm aims to launch “various locations” and “ramp up to 500 employees”, said Bell.
International expansion
This expansion into Germany is part of Credera’s international growth strategy. With offices in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and Asia, Credera has been on a path of expansion with revenue growth, geographic expansion, and several recent acquisitions and partnerships.
In 2020, Credera acquired DMW Group, an IT consultancy based in the UK, which has since rebranded under the Credera name. In another recent acquisition of a smaller tech consultancy company, Credera took over UK-based BrightGen in 2021.
Parent company Omnicom is one of the largest marketing and corporate communications agencies in the world. In 2022, the New York City-based company generated revenue of about $14.3 billion.
