The 2023 edition of Innopay’s business course takes place next month, providing students and graduates an ideal opportunity to explore the world of consulting and personally meet the Amsterdam-headquartered firm.

From its offices in Amsterdam and Frankfurt, Innopay advises businesses and public institutions on digital transactions, from strategy through to execution. The firm often operates at the forefront of technology and innovation, with landmark projects under its belt including the conception of the iDEAL payment system, the launch of digital payments in public transport, and the development of data sharing strategies in logistics.

To meet growing demand for its services, Innopay is currently expanding its team, with its business course on 11 May 2023 geared at attracting the interest of “high achieving” students and graduates.

“We are looking for high-achievers – preferably in their final years of university – who are passionate about digital, transactions and innovation, and want to work in an international environment,” stated Innopay in an announcement.

During the full day business course, participants will first be introduced to consulting and Innopay by one of the firm’s senior leaders. Then, participants will work on a challenging case inspired by real-life Innopay project.

Addressing students, “You will work with your team to assess technologies and analyse market information to determine the best innovation strategy for our client, and then design an implementation approach. Touching upon business, technology and regulatory challenges, your team will ensure that our client realises its strategic objectives.”

Sign up: Applying for the event is possible up to the 6th of May on the website of Innopay.

Competition for slots to meet one of the leading consultancies in the Netherlands is expected to be fierce, however. Candidates need to be able to demonstrate “an outstanding record of academic achievements combined with broad personal development”, and have “strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills”, noted Innopay’s advertisement.

The experience of an alumni

A former attendee of the business course, and now a consultant at Innopay, Martine Nau said, “I attended the business course around two years ago and it provided me a great insight into life as a consultant and what can be expected at Innopay.”

“The business course gave me insights into what it’s like to work on a strategic issue, structure a project and how to put the client’s needs first. In addition, it was fun to work in a team and get an impression of daily life as a consultant. Today, I can proudly say that, as a consultant at Innopay, I enjoy working on different strategic issues in the field of digital transactions.”
