Headquartered in London, OC&C Strategy Consultants is one of the world’s top-tier strategy consultancies. The firm advises its clients on strategy, and supports them with the commercial aspects of financial transactions.

Germany has been an integral market for the UK firm since 1987, when a trio of ex-McKinsey partners launched the Munich office. In 2017, the German arm joined OC&C’s integrated partnership model.

Will Hayllar, Global Managing Partner at OC&C Strategy Consultants, said that the arrival of Luck marks the “the next step in our sustained growth in Germany since re-opening as an integrated office five years ago.”

“We have considerable growth plans over the next few years. This appointment marks an important step in that journey. Lars becomes our fourth partner in Munich [the others are: Christoph Treiber, Jan Bergmann and James McDonnell], alongside a rapidly growing team of talented consulting staff,” Hayllar said.

Luck joins OC&C Strategy Consultants with 14 years of strategy consulting experience, gained at German-origin counterpart Roland Berger. He also held roles in industry. After Roland Berger, he worked at Metro Group for three years as Group Strategy Director, before moving onto WMF initially as Vice President for Strategy and then as Managing Director running the retail and D2C e-commerce businesses.

“His combination of razor sharp intellect, deep experience and a passion for building the firm makes him a great fit with our DNA. We’re looking forward to working collaboratively together to support clients in Germany and beyond,” Hayllar said.
