Kantar Public buys Lithuanian public policy specialist PPMI
Kantar Public has boosted its presence in the Baltic states with the acquisition of PPMI, a policy research and consultancy company based in Lithuania.
From its base in Vilnius, PPMI advises European and international institutions as well as national authorities on a range of public policy matters, including public reform, agile governments, economy, education, employment, healthcare, culture, and sports.
The deal with Kantar Public will see PPMI’s 100-strong team join the global player, which has offices across Europe, Asia Pacific and North America. Operating independently since its private equity-backed divestment from Kantar in 2022, Kantar Public will later this year adopt a new brand.
“We are thrilled that PPMI are joining us at Kantar Public. From our first meetings, the synergies in our purpose, strategy, ambition and culture were remarkable. Our combined expertise in delivering evidence and advisory work across the public policy spectrum, and our shared recent history of technology investment to deepen our data and analytics capabilities, will take our ability to deliver to our clients to the next level,” said Michelle Harrison, CEO of Kantar Public.
Commenting on the joining of forces, Haroldas Brožaitis, Managing Director of PPMI, added: “We are proud of what we have achieved with PPMI – building a leading evidence-based insights and public policy consultancy since our inception in 2001. We are also proud of our strength in analytical capabilities and technology-enabled data, enabling us to be a strong collaborative partner to clients operating in the public realm.”
“Joining Kantar Public, we have the opportunity to create something very special together.”
The deal closed on 6 July, 2023, the value of which has not been disclosed.
