South American process automation consultancy Ofi has kickstarted its European ambitions with the launch of a new office in the Netherlands.

Founded in 2014, Ofi is a technology consultancy specialised in process digitisation and automation. The Bogotá-headquartered company helps clients in South and North America with the implementation of robotic process automation, process mining, machine learning, and other hyperautomation solutions, with a focus on the Celonis, SAP, Automation Anywhere, and UIPath technology stacks.

With the launch of a new hub in the Dutch capital of Amsterdam, Ofi has now expanded its services into the Benelux – and broader European market. “With this expansion, we are doubling down on our growth ambitions,” said company founder Peter Ostroske.

Leading the expansion into Europe are the Dutch duo Laurens Dols and Joep Obdam, who both joined the company from automation software provider Celonis.

Dols brings around 15 years of experience to Ofi, where he has been appointed as chief executive officer (former CEO Ostroske has now transitioned to the Advisory Board). He previously was a Customer Value Director at Celonis and before that served consulting giants Accenture and Deloitte for over a decade.

“I am thrilled to bring together my passion for software innovation and consulting expertise. I am committed to building a culture of innovation and collaboration, where we continuously push boundaries and create lasting value for our clients,” he said about his appointment.

Obdam has been appointed as head of corporate development. Also hailing from a tech and consulting background, Obdam brings a wealth of financial and process management expertise to Ofi. He most worked in the sales team at Celonis, and before that spent eight years at EY and boutique management consultancy Nolan, Norton & Co.

“Ofi is Celonis Partner of the Year and, more generally, a leader in the (hyper) automation domain, offering services such as process mining and robotics. In my new position I’ll focus on further growth in Europe and the United States,” he said.

Amsterdam is Ofi’s 7th office worldwide. Other offices are based in Bogotá, Quito, Santiago, Sao Paolo, Mexico City, and New Orleans. The firm has over 100 consultants on its payroll.
