Rajib Ranjan Ganguly joins Murex consulting practice of Varrlyn
Technology consultant Rajib Ranjan Ganguly has joined Varrlyn, a capital markets consultancy company based in the Netherlands.
Rajib Ranjan Ganguly brings a wealth of experience in technology consulting to the firm, with a focus on Murex. Murex is an application for trading, risk, collateral, accounting and post-trade operations in the financial markets domain. Ganguly has a broad product knowledge in capital market products like IRD, CRD, Forex and equities. He has worked in both development and support roles across a variety of projects.
Most recently, Ganguly, based in Sydney, served Australia’s Commonwealth Bank as a member of its OTC Regulatory Reforms team. In this role, he supported the bank’s compliance activities for several regulatory bodies (including EMIR, GTR, HKMA, MAS, ASIC), working across the development and support of reports and interfaces. Prior to that, Ganguly was a Murex consultant at a French consulting firm. Among the engagements he contributed to are a Murex segregation project at OCBC Singapore and an upgrade project at Murex Singapore, supporting one of their clients. Earlier in his career, the Indian-origin consultant worked in the global markets team of other consultancy firms.
At Varrlyn, a financial markets specialist, Ganguly has started working in Paris at the Murex office for one of the Murex client delivery teams. From France’s capital city he supports one of the Murex implementations currently being rolled-out in The Netherlands. Ganguly resolves complex issues for the project team and also works together with Murex on initial configuration, before code is tested further at the client. The new consultant joins Varrlyn’s Murex practice – last year the Benelux consultancy qualified as a Murex consulting and integration partner. He joins a growing Murex team, and in the footsteps of among others Anand Vardhan and Sagarika Biswas, who joined the consultancy firm last year.
“Raijb brings a strong track record in capital markets to Varrlyn,” said Cherien van Ampt, Business Development lead at Varrlyn, adding, “He has worked in projects like Murex migration, trade masking and segregation and OTC regulatory reforms, experience that will benefit our customers as well as internal team.”
Ganguly’s appointment comes shortly after Varrlyn brought Rakesh Pai on board – he focuses on technology implementations and scrum projects.
