Eight Advisory adds Niels Lummen to Dutch partner team

International financial advisory firm Eight Advisory has appointed a new partner in its Dutch office: Niels Lummen.

Based in Amsterdam, Niels Lummen brings over 13 years of experience with mergers & acquisitions and transactions to the firm. He helps clients – corporates, private equity firms, and family businesses – with valuations, deal advisory, financial due diligence, and transaction execution.

At Eight Advisory, Lummen is a member of the Transactions Services practice. He also is a member of the Energy practice, having gained extensive experience in the sector over the years.

“Niels brings a lot of experience in the energy and infrastructure sector which is one of the key sectors in which we see a lot of M&A activity in the coming months and years. This is a testimony of our continued investment in the Netherlands and the region,” commented Philippe Fimmers, Managing Partner of Eight Advisory in the Benelux.

Lummen joins Eight Advisory from Deloitte, where he spent the past thirteen years, growing the ranks to director level in its M&A Transactions Services practice.

Notable deals he worked on this year include providing the financial due diligence to Ardian for its acquisition of Attero (a waste management platform), and supporting Powerfield with landing a €500 million capital raise (Lummen was part of the team that provided the financial due diligence and tax structuring services).

Lummen’s career track record also spans transactions in the telecom, media, consumer goods, and other sectors.

Eight Advisory launched in the Netherlands in 2021. Lummen becomes the firm’s fourth partner in Amsterdam, the others are Hans Boogardt, Silvia Pagliero, and Boudewijn Wellink.
