Simon-Kucher names Othmar Schwarz new leader of Vienna office
Simon-Kucher has appointed a new managing partner for its 30-person team in Austria: Othmar Schwarz.
A long-time member of Simon-Kucher’s Austrian team, Othmar Schwarz has been with the global commercial strategy and pricing specialist for 14 years, serving as a partner for the past seven years and management team member for the past four years.
Schwarz ascends to his new role per January 1st 2024, taking over the reins from Thomas Haller, who led the Vienna office for the past seventeen years.
“Othmar has contributed significantly to the growth of the Vienna team. We are delighted to see him continue our growth journey in Austria,” said Haller.
Schwarz advises Austrian and international market leaders in the B2B industrial and technology sector on how to achieve profitable revenue growth. He specialises in top-line optimisation programs as well as growth and sales strategies.
The 38-year-old has been tasked with achieving an ambitious growth plan for the coming years. The firm aims to grow domestically by 15% per annum in the coming five years – meaning it will by 2028 have hit a headcount of over 60 staff in Vienna.
“The goal over the next few years is to make optimal use of our combination of global expertise and local roots in order to achieve above-average growth,” said Schwarz.
Alongside expanding the firm’s consulting services around strategy, commercial growth, sales & marketing, and pricing, Simon-Kucher also plans to grow its digital services and solutions business (known as Engine).
Haller will meanwhile remain with Simon-Kucher as a senior partner and focus entirely on a client facing role and the further development of the firm’s Energy & Telecom practices.
