Juan Francisco Nasser joins HKA as partner in Spanish team
Global consulting firm HKA has welcomed Juan Francisco Nasser to its Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages practice based in Spain.
Appointed a partner, Juan Francisco Nasser brings over 20 years of experience in the disputes and investigation domain to HKA. He specialises in evaluating commercial damages, conducting valuation analyses, and providing litigation support and expert testimony on a wide range of matters.
Nasser regularly acts as a quantum and contentious valuations expert in commercial disputes and has given expert testimony over 60 times, both in arbitration and judicial proceedings.
Nasser arrives at HKA from Grant Thornton, where he led its Litigation & Dispute advisory service line in Spain. Before joining Grant Thornton, he participated in several cross-border transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, and the establishment of joint ventures as part of Indra’s M&A team.
“I am excited to be joining HKA and be a part of its growing team in EMEA. I look forward to working with my colleagues to further develop our service offering in commercial damages calculations, investigations, and other regulatory matters, particularly in Spain and Latin America and for Spanish-speaking clients generally,” said Nasser on his move.
Amanda Clack, partner and EMEA chief executive at HKA, commented: “We are delighted that Juan Francisco has joined our team of experts. His well-rounded international experience and involvement in all manner of forensic accounting assignments will strengthen HKA’s presence in the market and give us a stronger presence in Spain and internationally as Madrid emerges as the new premier spot for international arbitration cases in Spanish and Portuguese-speaking markets.”
Nasser added, “Madrid is rapidly developing as an important and increasingly sophisticated seat of international arbitration for Iberian and Latin American disputes. These disputes require experts who are both highly specialist with global networks, but also have a developed understanding of the Spanish market. HKA is uniquely positioned in the market to provide just this, and our expanded on-the-ground presence in Spain will be so valuable to our clients.”
“Spain is a gateway to Latin America and an international centre of expertise when it comes to large construction projects. It is home to some of the largest contractors operating globally, particularly in the areas of renewable and conventional energy, as well as transport infrastructure. I am excited and honoured to be working with the team to realise our goals.”
