FTI Consulting hires senior leaders to Business Transformation practice
FTI Consulting has boosted its Business Transformation practice in Europe with three senior hires.
Jean-Werner de T’Serclaes, Ramon Baeza and Wim Gysegom all join FTI Consulting from a tier-one strategy consulting firm, bringing more than 75 years of combined experience in financial services, energy and operational performance transformations and turnarounds.
“Jean-Werner, Ramon and Wim are leaders in business transformation, a critical capability for us in today’s rapidly evolving global economy,” said Diederick van der Plas, EMEA Head of the Corporate Finance & Restructuring at FTI Consulting. “They bring the kind of unrivalled expertise that our clients have come to expect from FTI Consulting. They will greatly enhance the value we provide to our clients and the firm as a whole.”
Paris-based Jean-Werner de T’Serclaes has more than 25 years of experience and joins as Co-Leader for France (the other Co-Leader is Karl Payeur) and as the regional lead for the firm’s cross-segment Financial Services offerings.
He specialises in strategic business planning, the implementation of growth initiatives, major business transformations and post-merger integrations. Whilst he has worked across a variety of sectors, his primary expertise is in financial services, having led projects for global and local banks, fintech firms, insurers and asset management companies.
Before FTI Consulting, De T’Serclaes spent 25 years at Boston Consulting Group, latterly in the role of Managing Director and Senior Partner and as Chair of the Financial Services practice for Europe, Middle East, South America, and Africa.
Madrid-based Ramon Baeza has more than three decades of business transformation and leadership expertise in the energy sector. He will lead FTI Consulting’s energy services in EMEA, working closely with colleagues in Spain and the wider region to support energy clients in maintaining growth and improving operational efficiencies.
Baeza has advised on a variety of strategic operational transformation projects, including innovation programmes, contract renegotiations, process evaluations, expansion strategies, organisational restructurings, diversification and cost reduction initiatives for clients in oil and gas, utilities, and power.
He also joins from Boston Consulting Group, where he was a Managing Director and Senior Partner. Among other roles, he led the Corporate Finance & Strategy practice for Western Europe, South America and Africa, as well as BCG Turn, the company’s wing for turnaround and restructuring services.
London-based Wim Gysegom was previously a Partner at McKinsey & Company and Head of its Operations practice. At McKinsey, he led large-scale performance transformation projects across a range of sectors, including retail, utilities and pharmaceuticals, with a particular emphasis on advanced and process-centred industries, such as chemicals and automotive.
As the project lead for European and global transformation projects, he has advised clients on manufacturing and supply chain optimisation, procurement strategies, change programmes, restructuring transformations, advanced analytics, digital operations and cost improvement initiatives.
At FTI Consulting, he will work with colleagues in the UK and across the European Business Transformation practice to support clients’ operational transformation and turnaround projects.
