BrazilFTI Consulting renews dispute resolution collaboration with Vijverberg
FTI Consulting and Vijverberg have renewed their strategic alliance in the Benelux market, focused on cross-border dispute resolution services in the construction sector.
Initially signed in 2021, the agreement between the two consultancies sees them work together in the provision of dispute resolution services to companies in the Netherlands and Belgium.
For its clients facing dispute issues in the Benelux market, the global FTI Consulting team will work together with Vijverberg’s experts on the ground. Based out of Rotterdam, Vijverberg specialises in dispute resolution, providing services such as delay analyses, cost and economic damages assessments, and expert witness reports. The firm has a team of around 40 consultants and staff.
The focus of the agreement is on the construction and infrastructure sectors – the top breeding grounds for disputes. This includes construction projects in sectors such as energy, data centre, transport, real estate, shipbuilding, and more.
Vice versa, Vijverberg will be able to tap FTI Consulting’s teams all over the world for its local clients facing cross-border disputes. Jouke van der Schors, Managing Director at Vijverberg, said: “We can offer our clients in Benelux access to a wider range of industry-specific experts. And FTI Consulting’s extensive network worldwide enables us to better serve our clients locally on international projects.”
FTI Consulting is one of the globe’s larger management consulting firms. The US-headquartered group has over 8,000 employees in 30+ countries, including a team in the Netherlands borne out of a recent acquisition. That team does not have expertise in dispute resolution, hence its tie-up with Vijverberg to cover this segment.
Outsides of disputes, Vijverberg also specialises in project management, helping its clients with running projects smoothly and project controls and cost management.
