Kearney boosts Private Equity practice with M&A expert Teresa Schawe

Global management consulting firm Kearney is expanding its Private Equity business in Europe with the appointment of Teresa Schawe as Partner and Managing Director.

Appointed to her role per the 1st of December 1st 2024, Teresa Schawe is a member of the Private Equity and Principal Investors practice of Kearney, based in Berlin. She will help the firm’s private equity clients with services including strategy, transactions, value creation, and post-deal performance improvement.

Schawe brings over 18 years of experience in private equity and mergers & acquisitions to Kearney, most recently gained at Strategy&, where she spent the past four years as a partner and chief operations officer for the European business. “With a heavy heart, I announce my decision to leave Strategy& and embark on a new personal challenge,” she said in a much-liked post on LinkedIn.

“Reflecting on the past four years, I am profoundly grateful for the incredible experiences and the wonderful colleagues who have made this journey so memorable.”

Before Strategy&, Schawe spent a dozen years at KPMG and three years in investment banking with UBS. On her move to Kearney, she said that she looks forward to bring the firm’s “profound consulting expertise in industries and leading functional expertise for market strategies, organization & transformation and operations” to her clients.
