Banca Investis partners with Bain & Company for AI-investment platform

Banca Investis, an Italian investment and private bank, has launched a new investment advisory platform powered by generative AI, concepted and delivered in collaboration with Bain & Company.

Founded in 1981, Banca Investis is a bank headquartered in Turin, providing investment banking services around mergers & acquisitions and securities brokerage, private banking services to high-net-worth individuals, and fund management for stocks, bonds and derivatives.

Dubbed the first of its kind in the Italian market, the bank’s new AI-powered investment advisory app (NIWA) serves as a “digital junior banker” that provides customers with hyper-personalized banking advice in real time. The platform uses generative AI to analyse over 500 data points daily – including financial assets, preferences, and personalized insights – to deliver a hyperpersonalized experience.

Another of the app’s key features is an AI-powered chatbot that provides real-time answers to questions about investment portfolios.

“In just 7 months, together with Bain & Company, we were able to develop and roll out a market-first platform that maximizes the power of generative AI to benefit our customers,” said Luca Giacobbe, Chief Operation Officer at Banca Investis. “The app has enabled us to increase engagement through cutting-edge banking practices in a personalized, efficient way.”

The engagement was delivered by a multi-disciplinary team from Bain & Company, including consultants, IT experts, and data and AI engineers.

Last month, Bain & Company announced that it has been appointed as the lead AI partner of Hera Group, a provider of energy, water, waste management, and related utility services.
