Inverto boosts senior European team with Giovanni Giacchetti and Simon Treis

International procurement and supply chain consulting firm Inverto has strengthened its leadership team with senior appointments in Italy and Switzerland.
In Italy, Giovanni Giacchetti has been appointed as Managing Director and as co-leader of the Milan office, alongside fellow Managing Director Giovanni Grillo.
Launched in the summer of 2022, Inverto’s Milan office currently employs more than 30 consultants. For transformation involving work outside procurement and supply chain, the team works closely with parent Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
Giacchetti brings more than 20 years of expertise in procurement transformation programs to Inverto, having previously held leadership roles at GEP, SAP and Accenture. He is experienced in topics including strategic sourcing, cost management, risk management, and digital transformation. He focuses on clients in the manufacturing, consumer products, and retail sectors.
“Giovanni is an experienced leader in procurement and supply chain transformation projects, and I am very pleased to welcome him to our team. His expertise will be a valuable asset to our clients and play a key role in the growth and development of our Milan team”, said Daniel Weise, CEO of Inverto.
Meanwhile, in Switzerland, Simon Treis has been brought on board as Managing Director and Head of the Swiss team. He has been hired from Strategy&, where he spent 16 years, most recently leading its Swiss business.
Treis specializes in procurement, manufacturing strategy, and performance improvement. He has supported well-known companies from a wide range of industries, with a focus on manufacturing and service-oriented industries.
“Simon brings the ideal combination of in-depth expertise in procurement and supply chain management and a clear understanding of our clients’ needs. We are convinced that with his appointment, he will decisively advance the development of our office in Zurich,” noted Weise.
Inverto, which earlier this month completed its first brand refresh since becoming part of Boston Consulting Group in 2017, currently employs more than 600 experts across three continents. The firm is headquartered in Germany.
