The Ensur Company ropes in investor to fuel growth and M&A campaign

The Ensur Company, a Belgian industry-focused consulting group, has brought an investor on board to fuel its next growth chapter.

Launched in 2014, Ensur is a consulting firm dedicated to the insurance and pension sectors. The firm provides consulting and implementation services across transformation, risk & compliance, financial crime, and data management.

In its home market Belgium, Ensur has grown to a team of 65 staff and firmly nestled itself as a leader in the insurance sector. In the Dutch market, which Ensur entered in 2021, the firm today has a team of around 35 members. Meanwhile, the group also launched a new subsidiary named thewave, a boutique (18 staff) focused on developing digital and data products.

The three firms now fall under the holding The Ensur Company, which is owned by founders and partners of the subsidiaries, and Down2Earth Capital, a leading Belgian private equity firm that this week closed its stake. Terms and conditions of the deal have not been disclosed.

With the financial muscle from Down2Earth Capital, The Ensur Company wants to strengthen its service portfolio, grow the team, and expand into new markets. The growth acceleration will be achieved both organically and through targeted acquisitions.

Hot on the heels of landing Down2Earth Capital’s support, The Ensur Company secured full ownership of Ensur’s Dutch entity, which up until recently was co-owned by local player Colosseus.
