ARTIN, an IT consulting and software firm from the Czech Republic, has expanded its footprint into the Dutch market.

Headquartered in Prague, with a second office in Bratislava (Slovakia), ARTIN specializes in developing custom software solutions from scratch, building tools and applications, modernizing legacy systems, and migrating solutions to the cloud. The firm also advises its clients on topics such as software strategy and development.

As a next step in its 25 year journey, ARTIN is now aiming to establish a presence in the Netherlands, which CEO Richard Brulik describes as “an ideal market for our expansion due to its strong demand for scalable and business-aligned IT solutions.”

Its model in the Netherlands will centre around a nearshore model – onboarding Dutch companies and serving them through an expert team of software developers in Prague and Bratislava.

“Many Dutch firms plan to increase their investments in nearshore outsourcing in the near future. The primary drivers behind this trend are cost savings, easier compliance with European regulatory requirements, and the advantages of geographic proximity to partners [as opposed to far East outsourcing],” said Brulik.

With a strong pool of qualified IT and software experts, universities that have a good track record in grooming the next generation of talent, direct flights connecting Prague and Amsterdam in just over 90 minutes, and a similar time zone, Brulik said that the Czech Republic is an ideal nearshore location to support Dutch businesses. “The Czech Republic has a number of natural advantages.”

Leading the venture in the Netherlands is Jan Willem ter Meulen, who has been appointed Director of Business Development for the Netherlands. “Working with ARTIN gives our Dutch clients the best of both worlds. Local Dutch technical business analysts ensure smooth communication and precise understanding of the client’s requirements, while Czech development teams provide the technical expertise and execution capabilities needed for project success.”

Across Western Europe, ARTIN has build relationships with many enterprise clients, including Hewlett-Packard, T-Mobile, and Skoda.
