BrazilAlvarez & Marsal boosts Iberia senior team with Gabriel Valtueña-Ramos
Global management consulting firm Alvarez & Marsal has strengthened its Spanish team with the hire of Gabriel Valtueña-Ramos from McKinsey & Company.
Appointed a Managing Director in the Madrid office, Gabriel Valtueña-Ramos brings over 25 years of experience in consulting and industry to Alvarez & Marsal, with a deep focus on the construction and infrastructure industry. He has experience across all phases of the capital-projects life cycle, including project development, tendering, commercial and financial close, delivery, and operations and maintenance.
He has extensive expertise in the setup and delivery of public-private partnerships, and has a proven track record of discovering efficiencies across operational and capital expenditures, including the successful restructuring of several capital project assets in critical situations.
Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Valtueña-Ramos was interim CEO of CABBSA where he redefined the company’s strategy to drive greater growth and diversification. He previously was a Vice President at McKinsey & Company, latterly serving as co-leader of the Construction & Infrastructure practice in Iberia.
Before that, Valtueña-Ramos spent nearly 14 years at Cintra, working on the development, financing, construction, and operation of major international infrastructure projects, including eight years as CEO of several Cintra subsidiaries in Spain, the UK and Australia.
A qualified civil engineer, he began his career at construction companies, where he was involved in the execution of major infrastructure projects.

Spain and the Iberia region are one of Alvarez & Marsal’s larger markets in Europe. The regional business received a major boost in 2022 when it completed a 60-person team hire from EY. Since then, organic growth has continued.
