Kearney appoints Roland Scharrer as partner in Digital, Analytics & AI practice
Kearney has appointed Roland Scharrer as a partner in its Digital & Analytics practice.
Roland Scharrer brings over 20 years of international experience in data, AI, and technology transformation to the German arm of the management consultancy. Most recently, he served as Group Chief Data, AI & Emerging Technology Officer for the AXA Group and was a member of the Executive Committee at AXA Group Operations in Paris, where he led AXA’s global data and AI strategy and drove its digital transformation.
Earlier in his career, he worked as a software engineer, data scientist, strategy consultant, and project manager on complex national and international projects for over 15 years, specializing in topics such as business information management, enterprise architecture, design thinking, and more recently, advanced data analytics, digital transformation and artificial intelligence.
Among other roles, he spent six years at Capgemini Invent in Germany, where he served as the Chief Data Scientist and co-led the Data Science practice.
Beyond his professional achievements, Scharrer has strong academic roots. He has been a Fellow at MIT, a recent Fellow and Visiting Research Scholar at Stanford University, and is currently pursuing an executive PhD at ESCP. His research focuses on organizational AI adoption and its impact on competitiveness. He is a regular contributor and expert to the World Economic Forum on AI and emerging technologies.
Now at Kearney, Scharrer will help the firm expand and deepen its Digital & Analytics practice. He is based in Düsseldorf.
