Horváth acquires Studicon to strengthen AI capabilities and launch Horváth.AI

Horváth has acquired Studicon, a Stuttgart-based company specialising in AI consultancy and software services.

Founded in 2020, Studicon supports clients across Germany with digital transformation services, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence (AI). Since its inception, the consulting firm has completed more than 500 projects. Its team comprises a core group of experts alongside a broad network of more than 1,000 young professionals affiliated with the company.

Studicon also operates a proprietary software platform, Studicon.ai, which helps organisations streamline workflows using AI and accelerate the adoption of AI technologies.

As part of Horváth, Studicon will form the foundation of Horváth.AI, the firm’s new brand dedicated to artificial intelligence. Horváth will meanwhile merge its existing AI capabilities into Horváth.AI.

“The acquisition of Studicon and the consolidation of our AI solutions under the new Horváth.AI brand mark an important milestone in our AI strategy,” said Helmut Ahr, CEO of Horváth.

The two companies had already been working together successfully for several years, Ahr noted, adding: “Studicon’s comprehensive tool expertise, entrepreneurial mindset, and clear focus on achieving measurable EBIT impact through the use of AI immediately impressed us during our collaboration.”

“Our clients will benefit from an innovative and flexible AI platform that enables the rapid development of customised use cases based on a range of AI models. Particularly in the area of automation intelligence – process automation powered by AI – this acquisition represents a significant step forward,” he continued.

Matthias Emler, Partner at Horváth, added: “This acquisition significantly sharpens our AI profile, bringing substantial innovation and implementation strength.”

Gabriel Senftle, founder of Studicon, said that joining forces with the international consulting group would enable the team to deliver larger and more complex AI transformations for organisations across all industries and markets. “As part of Horváth, we will have even greater opportunities to grow and make an impact.”
