Horváth gives vote of confidence to executives Helmut Ahr and Stefan Hiendlmeier

In a strong vote of confidence in their leadership, Horváth has brought forward the reappointment of board members Helmut Ahr and Stefan Hiendlmeier, extending their mandates for another term in the office.

Helmut Ahr has served as CEO of Horváth since 2022. He joined the international consulting firm in 2000 and has been a member of its Executive Board since 2012.

Stefan Hiendlmeier is Horváth’s Chief People Officer, a role he has held since 2022. As a member of the Executive Board, he is responsible for Human Resources and focuses on strengthening Horváth’s position as an employer of choice. He joined the firm as a fresh graduate in 2002 and became a Partner in 2012.

Ahr and Hiendlmeier form the Executive Board alongside Heiko Fink and Niko Hofmann.

While the mandates of Ahr and Hiendlmeier were originally set to run until next year, Horváth has brought forward the reappointment decision following a recommendation from the Supervisory Board and the firm’s partners.

Bernd Gaiser, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, said: “The early renewal of the mandates of Helmut and Stefan creates the foundation for consistently advancing our growth and transformation journey with the full support and confidence of both the partnership and the Supervisory Board. It ensures continuity in executing our new corporate strategy and accelerating our AI transformation in a challenging market environment.”

Gaiser highlighted the firm’s strong performance in recent years under the current Executive Board, noting that Horváth has expanded its footprint to more than 1,400 employees across Europe, the United States, Asia, and the Middle East. The firm has also launched new offerings and brands, including Horváth.AI and interim-x, while elevating its standing in the market on the back of multiples awards and recognitions.

“I am grateful for the renewed trust placed in me by the Supervisory Board and our partnership and look forward to leading our company into the future for another three years together with my fellow Board members and the entire Horváth team,” said Ahr.

Hiendlmeier added: “Over the past period, we have made significant progress in AI innovation and skills development, as well as in cross-industry and cross-functional collaboration. We will continue along this path together to deliver measurable results and sustainable value creation for our clients in the years ahead.”

The new mandates will commence at the start of Horváth’s 2027/2028 financial year on 1 April 2027. Ahr has been reappointed for an additional three years at his own request, while Hiendlmeier has been reappointed for a regular five-year term.
