Aninver celebrates record year and eyes further expansion in 2026
Aninver Development Partners, an international development and strategic consultancy headquartered in Spain, has entered 2026 in the best financial shape in its history. With record turnover of €2.5 million and strong profitability, the firm has this year set its sights on further expansion.
With a long track record of working on a wide variety of projects around the world, Aninver specializes in emerging markets and public sector projects with multilateral financing.
For example, last year the consultants worked on a project in Panama to improve food security and increase the income of smallholder farmers. The firm was also chosen by the African Development Bank to help in a project to upgrade its flagship digital platform that collects energy data and insights across Africa’s energy value chain.
A record year
In a press release, Aninver reported strong commercial momentum in 2025 as the team of consultants simultaneously executed a variety of projects in different regions.
In fact, the firm signed its first two contracts worth of $1 million and celebrated new additions to its institutional client base, including the UN Industrial Development Agency (UNIDO), its first two contracts with the UN in Belize and Zanzibar, and new projects with the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC) in Belize.
“Having signed our first contracts for more than $1 million and opening new relationships with multilateral organizations confirms that our value proposition is much stronger at a global level and is recognized by increasingly demanding customers,” said Álvaro de la Maza, partner at Aninver.
Expansion further afield
Despite intense global competition and a challenging macroeconomic environment, Aninver reported a record number of Expressions of Interest and tenders last year. With new contracts in India, the Maldives, Tonga, and the Philippines, the consultants now have their eyes set on further expansion in the Asia-Pacific region.

Across its footprint, the consulting firm worked on 34 projects in 25 countries in 2025, mainly in Africa, and increasingly in Latin America and the Caribbean. Those include projects in Peru, Panama, Trinidad and Tobago, Belize, Jamaica, Grenada, and Colombia. Existing projects span across Africa – from Ethiopia to Malawi – and include several in the Caribbean as well as in Europe (Spain and the United Kingdom).
In Africa, the firm’s work was recognized by Consultancy.org, which named Aninver among the continent’s leading management consulting firms.
Aninver announced revenue growth of over 90% compared to 2024, after having already grown by 88% in 2024 compared to 2023. Beyond this high rate of growth, the firm also reported high profitability (an EBITDA margin of 30%) and a financially solid debt structure.
Going forward, the firm seeks to expand its institutional network and accelerate new collaborations with public and private actors in emerging destinations. Part of that achieving that goal was registering as an Affiliate Member of the UN Tourism in Madrid.
“2025 has been a turning point year for Aninver,” said José de la Maza, partner and CEO of Aninver. “Not only because of the record financial results, but because we have shown that we are capable of operating on a global scale, with technical rigor and financial discipline, even in very complex environments.”
