Sia strengthens Dutch financial services practice with Begüm Aydinoglu
Global management consulting firm Sia has strengthened its Benelux team with the appointment of Begüm Aydinoglu, who joins the firm’s Amsterdam office.
Appointed as a Managing Director, Aydinoglu brings nearly two decades of international experience spanning consulting, banking and technology. The financial services sector has been a consistent focus throughout her career.
At insurer Athora, Aydinoglu served as Transformation Director, where she was responsible for translating corporate strategy into a multi-year roadmap and advising the board on strategic initiatives. She oversaw several major programmes, including sustainability initiatives related to the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the implementation of IFRS 17.
Earlier in her career, she held roles within ING’s strategy team and worked as a project manager, supporting several international transformation programmes.
During her time in management consulting, Aydinoglu most recently served as a Director in the financial services practice of IG&H. Prior to that, she worked at Boston Consulting Group, having started her career at Accenture.
In her most recent role before joining Sia, Aydinoglu spearheaded a global transformation programme at payments organisation Swift, designing and executing a strategic roadmap that strengthened its technology platform and security landscape. She led nine initiatives across five transformation streams, working with a cross-functional team of more than 1,000 professionals worldwide.

In the Netherlands, Sia has a team of around 100 consultants (including recent acquisition Precedence). Across the wider Benelux, the firm employs more than 200 people, with additional offices in Brussels and Antwerp.
