HSEQ consultancy Technique Works launches office in Albania

Technique Works, a consulting firm specialising in workplace risk, health and safety, has expanded into Albania. The firm’s new presence in Tirana will serve clients across the Western Balkans.

Headquartered in the Netherlands, Technique Works is a specialist consultancy that supports clients in sectors including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and logistics with safeguarding the health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) of their people and operations.

Since its inception two decades ago, Technique Works has delivered projects across four continents, including throughout the Western Balkans. “We have an established track record in the region,” says Amador Brinkman, Managing Director of Technique Works. “We’ve supported multiple engagements for both our international and local clients, and we’re seeing further momentum and growing demand across the region.”

“We have a 30-year connection with Albanian culture and business,” adds Majlinda Brinkman, who has been appointed to lead the Albanian practice. “So we’re definitely not new to the market or the region.”

Until now, that longstanding relationship has been managed through the firm’s offices in the Netherlands and the UAE. With demand increasing, however, the timing was right to establish a permanent local presence.

“Launching a hub in Albania makes sense, with client demand increasing and market conditions moving in the right direction,” says Majlinda. “Albania is an emerging market. The opportunities are growing, and so is the need for strong HSEQ capabilities.”

Majlinda notes that Albania has experienced significant growth, driven in part by its EU accession ambitions. Industries are scaling rapidly, while Albanian organisations are increasingly looking to expand across borders to access opportunities within the European market. However, international expansion brings new operational and regulatory requirements, including in HSEQ.

“An Albanian company that wants to win contracts in Germany or the Netherlands does not just need the right product,” Majlinda explains. “It also needs to demonstrate that its risk management, ESG positioning and governance structures meet European standards. That is a technical challenge with a specific solution. That’s where we come in, bringing deep functional expertise and experience in both the Albanian and European markets.”

To support its launch in Albania and strengthen its profile within the country’s business community, Technique Works has joined Business Network Albania (BNA), the leading professional network connecting Albanian entrepreneurs and executives operating globally. Its members include founders, institutional investors and C-suite leaders.

Both Amador and Majlinda attended BNA’s latest Albania Conference, held in Berlin on 27 June 2026, where they contributed to discussions on investment, economic development and the growing role of the Albanian business community across Europe.

“In the coming months, we’ll be working closely with Business Network Albania and its members on a range of opportunities and projects,” says Amador. “We’re also participating in the network as an investor. We’ve already hit the ground running.”

Majlinda adds: “Our relationship with BNA is one of the most important partnerships we’re building right now. Their network reaches exactly the organisations that need what we offer, and their leadership clearly understands the governance challenges facing the region. When two parties recognise the same challenge from different perspectives and arrive at the same conclusion, the collaboration tends to be highly productive.”

Building on its new hub in Tirana, Technique Works aims to gradually expand its footprint across the wider Albanian-speaking region, including Kosovo, North Macedonia and Montenegro, while also supporting the Albanian diaspora operating across Europe and internationally.
