Promptwatch secures €6 million growth capital with support from torq.partners
Promptwatch has raised €6 million in seed funding. The round was led by seed + speed, with participation from Blum Ventures and existing investor Arches Capital.
Amsterdam-based Promptwatch develops an AI search optimization platform that helps brands and agencies understand, optimize and take action on their visibility across AI models such as ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity. Founded in 2025 by Gijs de Groot and Klaas Foppen, the company surpassed €2 million in revenue just twelve months after its launch.
The new funding will accelerate the development of Promptwatch’s next generation of agentic AI search optimization, drive international expansion and support the continued growth of its engineering and go-to-market teams. As part of this expansion, Promptwatch is opening a new office in New York, bringing the company closer to its growing US customer base.
AI search optimization
While traditional SEO focuses on visibility in search engines, marketing teams are increasingly shifting their attention to visibility in AI-generated answers. AI models reference brands, compare providers and cite sources based on content, reputation signals and other sources of information, but companies often lack clear visibility into why certain information appears or is missing.
Promptwatch addresses this shift. The platform processes more than 100 million data points daily, collected from real prompt data rather than back-end APIs, covering responses, citations, model updates, agentic traffic and different content types. This provides organizations with a comprehensive understanding of how AI models perceive their brand, which sources influence AI recommendations and which technical and content improvements are needed.
Beyond analysis, Promptwatch also supports execution. Its agentic AI search optimization engine automatically prioritizes optimization opportunities, generates AI-ready content and publishes content directly to CMS platforms, including WordPress, Webflow and Framer.
The platform is now trusted by more than 1,800 organizations, including Duolingo, Fireflies and Monks.

Seed funding
The seed round was led by seed + speed, a Berlin-based venture capital fund investing in enterprise and B2B software companies. Blum Ventures also participated in the round. Arches Capital, which invested in Promptwatch’s pre-seed round last year, doubled down on its earlier investment.
“Promptwatch convinced us because its experienced founding team has already achieved more than €2 million in ARR with very limited capital and personnel resources,” says Alexander Kölpin, Managing Partner at seed + speed. “We find the end-to-end approach particularly impressive: Promptwatch not only analyzes how brands appear in AI searches and generative responses, but also derives concrete actions from this analysis and supports their automatic implementation.”
Gijs de Groot, CEO and Co-founder of Promptwatch, says the funding validates the company’s founding belief. “Businesses care about how AI describes their brand and AI Search will become a meaningful revenue channel. With Agentic AI Search Optimization, we make it easier for organizations to scale their marketing efforts in AI Search with automated execution.”
